Higher Farm is home to the infamous skull that does not want to be buried. It was said to be the mortal remains of one Theophilus Brome who died in 1670. His final wish was that his head be removed from his body following his passing, and then kept in his home. The rest of his body was interred at the Parish Church of St James (pictured above).
It has been documented that when attempts have been made to inter the remains, unusual audible phenomena and mishaps have happened.
It is believed that this is NOT OPEN to the public.
